Please help us honor Frank
We have set up a memorial scholarship in his name to help future young farmers. We need more young educated farmer's and Frank would have loved this.
The scholarship will be awarded through the educational organization, "Agri-Culture and Santa Cruz Community Foundation." The scholarship will go to a high school student going to college and majoring in agriculture, or related field. All the money received from donations goes directly to supporting our recipients of the scholarship.
Every donation, of any amount, helps reach our goal of a annual fully funded scholarship.
Frank was the last remaining family member of the the 2nd generation that farmed our land. He farmed his whole life in Watsonville; his passion was farming organic apples. He was a well-respected member of the local agricultural community. Frank farmed alongside his parents Arturo and Erina, and siblings, Chuck, Art, and Mary on their land in Watsonville since 1945. One of his many projects was to build a machine for grading and sorting apples which remains in operation at the family farm. Along with his wife Silvia, everything they grew was sold at their farm and farmer’s markets throughout the bay area.
Frank was an incredible man who touched everyone that knew him. He was a great family man and friend to all. Frank absolutely loved farming and would help any neighbor or young farmer. He would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed it.
We are so grateful that you have taken the time to consider donating to our father's memorial scholarship, this means a great deal to our family.
Sincerely,
Silvia, Geri, Sam, and Nick
